It is the earliest Anglican church established in Shanghai, built in 1862-1866, and the bell tower was added in 1893. The main façade and the right side of the Trinity Church covered by ivy before the construction on the right side of the bell tower and annex. The style is a mix of neo-gothic (brick wall, pointed roof ) and the Byzantine one (columns and arch-overgates).
