This table provides a breakdown of the Chinese population by sector of occupationin the rural and urban districts of the Shanghai Municipality in 1946. The typology is that of the original source as can be seen in the Data 1 tab. We compiled the original data into a smaller number of sectors as applied throughout our study of the population.
