Biographical informationGeorge Krainukov was in China at the time of the Sino-Japanese conflict, both in Peking and Shanghai. He had been working for Universal and took part to the filming of Oil for the Lamps of China (1935) as a second operator. Yet he was known mostly as a photographer who covered the Sino-Japanese conflict during the 1930s. George Krainukov is said to have changed is name to Crane.
