This is a  shape file that documents the changing boundarie of urban districts in Shanghai between 1945 and 2009. There is no information beyond the names of the districts in pinyin. This is based on the systematic collection of information on successive Shanghai city maps. This set of shape files reconstitutes the administrative hisqtory of urban districts in Shanghai.
