Title: Vendor of drug store specialities

In contrast with the American corner drug store, Chinese druggists do not handle specialities but leave the sale of such articles to street vendors. The salesday above is displaying her stock of haws, a confection consisting of the sweetened fruit of the haws tree. Some of the chaper crude drugs are also sold from stqnds of this type.
