Photo from an album (UoB reference Os04) kept in the School of Oriental and African Studies Archives, London (SOAS reference MS 380 876/4).  This photograph has been incorrectly dated at 1907 in many publications.  This photograph has been set up (or posed) by the photographer, using models to illustrate the use of a three-person cangue.  Photograph by William Saunders.  See research by Régine Thiriez, on page 4 of this paper: http://pnclink.org/annual/annual1999/1999pdf/thiriez.pdf.
