Note(s)The buildings of the consulate occupy a site of 2.9 ha (7.1 acres) on which the original consulate , built in 1852, once stood. It was destroyed by fire in 1870. The 1873 consulate were placed across the west side of the compound. (Fletcher, 1987, p. 1239)
